The Univision Network has been honored with two Bronze Tellys in the 34th Annual Telly Awards for the network’s specials titled, "Educando Contra el Peligro" (Learning About the Danger) and “Navidad Con los Nuestros: Tony Bennett y Sus Amigos” (Christmas with Us: Tony Bennett and His Friends). With nearly 11,000 entries received from all 50 states and numerous countries this year, the Telly Awards recognize outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winning entries represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
 
Univision’s ¡Edúcate! Es El Momento (Education Week) received Bronze recognition for the network’s special titled, "Educando Contra el Peligro.” The program underscores the importance of extracurricular activities for school-aged children as a paramount factor to help combat involvement with gangs, drugs and other dangerous influences that contribute to dropping out of school. In the special, Luis Ubiñas, President of the Ford Foundation advocates for a longer school day to keep kids from harm’s way when home alone and parents are working. While members and representatives of the Variety Boys & Girls Club of East Los Angeles share how organizations such as theirs provide refuge to this vulnerable segment of the U.S. population. 
 
The 2012 Univision Christmas Special, “Navidad Con los Nuestros: Tony Bennett y Sus Amigos” was also named a Bronze winner in the 34th Annual Telly Awards. Hosted by renowned network personality Giselle Blondet, the one-hour television special provided viewers an inside look at the recording of 17-time Grammy Award-Winner Tony Bennett’s critically praised “Viva Duets” album, featuring segments with Marc Anthony, Romeo Santos, Vicente Fernández, Thalía, and Juan Luis Guerra, among others. The special also featured solo performances of two classic songs and debuted newly recorded duets with Shaila Durcal and Armando Manzanero, including a heartfelt rendition of “Silent Night.”
