Telemundo 52, the Los Angeles Owned & Operated station of fast rising Telemundo Network, has hired a new team of executives in the last month.

Spearheading the newly created Marketing Department, is Teri S. Lane, as Director of Marketing. She joins Telemundo 52 bringing over 20 years experience in media and marketing management. Most recently she was Managing Director of MAGIDBrandWorks, a division of Frank N. Magid Associates Inc. in New York.

Also pioneering a new department is Leticia F. Garcia, Director of Sales Marketing. Ms. Garcia has over 15 years experience in television sales and marketing. She will develop and oversee all client sales driven marketing opportunities. Most recently she was West Coast Sales Manager of Yupi.com, a Spanish language internet portal.

Raymundo Diaz is Executive Producer Special Projects for the Telemundo 52 expansive News Department. Mr. Diaz will be developing and executing all special projects, mini-series, and segment integration for news. He is a 20 year journalism veteran with his most recent position being Director of Circulation at El Diario de Hoy in El Salvador.

Heading New Business Development is Fernando Acosta. He will develop aggressive new business efforts for the station as Director of New Business. He joins Telemundo 52 after being Vice President of Sales for U.S. internet portal, Quepasa.com in Phoenix, Arizona.

There have also been several lower level changes, additions and internal promotions at Telemundo 52.

These new hires, the expansion of the news department to a 24/7 operation, an internal remodeling, and now the purchase of KWHY, are all strong indicators that Telemundo 52 is rising not only in ratings, but also in attracting new talent to take the station to the next level in 2001.
