Caballero Television announced the launch of a new music video format 'MasMusica TeVe Mixx' that will debut on June 1, 2001. According to COO Steven Humphries, "the format will cater to the 15-29 year old Hispanic and feature a mix of Contemporary (pop & Rock) Spanish and English videos with bi-lingual VJ's."
To launch the new format, Caballero Television will use exiting owned and operated television stations in markets where the company owns duplicate stations that currently simulcast the 'Regional Mexican' format. The initial station line-up for the new format is: KMUM-TV 15 / Sacramento, KZMM-TV 7 / Fresno and KMMB-TV 4 / Bakersfield.
Humphries also commented saying"this new format will complement our existing 'Regional Mexican' format both from a demographic and psychographic point of view, giving us an opportunity to reach an even younger audience that is missed by traditional Spanish TV."
The new format will also be available for affiliation.
