Diveo Broadband Networks, Inc, a provider of Internet infrastructure and broadband services in Latin America announced the addition of three key executives that solidify, deepen and strengthen Diveo's Internet Data Center team. These three professionals will be responsible for directing Diveo's pan-regional engineering, operations and sales efforts for the Company's Internet Data Center operations.

Armando Escalante has joined Diveo's IP Business division as the company's Vice President of Engineering and Operations and will be responsible for ensuring Diveo's Internet Data Centers continue to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure as well as the highest quality IP network performance and management. In addition, David Riddick has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Strategic Accounts responsible for managing Diveo's strategic web hosting and colocation pan regional customers; and Richard Werner has been appointed to the position of Vice President, Pan Regional Sales leading Diveo's IP Business sales efforts. All positions will report to Tom Marcin, General Manager for Diveo's IP Business and are effective immediately.

The incorporation of these three seasoned executives complement our in-country executive teams and will help drive Diveo forward as we move ahead to the next phase of our Internet infrastructure rollout," concluded Marcin.

Armando Escalante, VP of Engineering and Operations for IP Business

Armando Escalante joins Diveo with more than 15 years of experience in the international high tech industry, most recently from Vignette Corporation, where he served as the Vice President for Latin America. Mr. Escalante led the expansion of Vignette into Latin America establishing offices in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela. Prior to Vignette, Mr. Escalante was the Director for Global Network Services (GMS) for Unisys Corporation where he built, led and managed the GNS InterNetworking and Systems Integration group for Latin America. He previously served as Founder and CTO, for a California based ISP; director of operations for Torrance, Calif.-based EPSON America; and general manager for dBase-maker Ashton-Tate Corp. in Caracas, Venezuela.

Mr. Escalante holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela; a master's in computer science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey and an M.B.A. from West Coast University in Orange, California. A native of Venezuela, Mr. Escalante is fluent in Spanish and English.

David R. Riddick, VP of Strategic Accounts for IP Business

David Riddick brings over 22 years of IT sales, marketing and management experience to Diveo. Previously, Mr. Riddick was Vice-President for Sales and Marketing for PSINet Latin America. From 1991-1998, Mr. Riddick held various executive positions with Software AG's International/Latin America divisions managing AG's sales, distributor and partner sales initiatives. In addition, Mr. Riddick spent twelve years with IBM Venezuela focusing on vertical industry sales management for the Finance, Insurance, Petroleum, Manufacturing and Telecom sectors.

Mr. Riddick holds a bachelor's degree in history from Monmouth College in Illinois and a master's in International Management from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Arizona. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Mr. Riddick is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Richard S. Werner, VP of Pan Regional Sales for IP Business

Richard Werner brings to Diveo over a decade of domestic and international business development and sales experience with a variety of Internet technologies and solutions including IP networking, web hosting, colocation, B2B applications, e-commerce software and telecommunications. He joins Diveo from Argosy Omnimedia, Inc., a Microsoft Certified Solutions Provider and e-commerce software development company where he was Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing. During his career, Mr. Werner also has held sales management positions with YelloBrix.com, AboveNet Communications and Bell Atlantic.

Mr. Werner holds a bachelors of science in sales and marketing from the University of Dayton in Ohio and completed Graduate Studies at University College in London, England from 1989-1991. A native of Puerto Rico, Mr. Werner is fluent in Spanish and English.
